Default Corrupt connection to data file

Thanks I have everything copied now but using the Control Panel Mail applet
to remove the old data file will not work since it does not appear when I
start the applet.

I'm at the point where it might be easiest to remove Outlook from my PC,
reinstall to get a clean install then copy the mail, calendar etc. from a
backup .PST into the newly installed Outlook dat file. I'm thinking this
might be the best way to move forward.

I can't seem to copy my calendar items but There are not that many
setup for 2007 so I'll just reenter them.

Switch to a table view, like By Category, then press CTRL-A to select all
the calendar entries. Copy the selection with right-click and drag or
EditCopy to Folder

Now I'm faced with trying to close the old file so I can delete it.
However, when I try to close it I'm getting the message "Operation
failed. An object could not be found". Any ideas?

With Outlook closed, use Control Panel's Mail applet to remove the PST
from the mail profile.

Uninstalling and reinstalling rarely solve Outlook problems. Just start
with a new mail profile.
