A customer with Outlook 2003 is reporting that some of his Address Book
entries are listed as Firstname Surname, even though he has configured Address Book to display all entries as Surname, Firstname. I've checked and Address Book's "File As" field for an affected entry is configured as Surname, Firstname. However the name is still displayed in the list of contacts as Firstname Surname, though alphabetically sorted by surname. The majority of names are displayed as Surname, Firstname. If the person is chosen as the "To" for an email, it is displayed as Surname, Firstname in the email window, so it is only the display in the list of names that is persisting in displaying as Firstname Surname. Anyone got any suggestions. I've not yet had chance to get the customer to delete an affected entry and add it from scratch. |

Hi Martin,
maybe this site could help: "Arrange contacts in last name, first name order" "Sort the Contacts list by the File As field" "Verify that the newly created contacts are filed in last name, first name order" http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...565141033.aspx -- Oliver Vukovics Share Outlook without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Freeware for Outlook: Public Mail 2 Contact http://www.publicshareware.com "Martin Underwood" a@b schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
