Hi
My Outlook 2006 refuse to send harmles Excel files returning a, 552 MS-Office file containing VBA macros found inside of the email, message. I've read that it might be due to a firewall setting, but I've checked with my ISP and they do not have any settings causing this. How can I troubleshoot this one? Can't find any settings in Outlook either causing this.... Windows firewall is turned off. Is there any typical service runnining locally on my computer which may intereferre with my SMTP settings? Any hints appreciated.... Mr. Smith |

It should'nt effect an excel file, but perhaps it does if it contains macros "Mr. Smith" wrote in message ... Sorry of cours MS Outlook 2003.... Smith Just unistalled Symantec AntiVirus. No, it doesn't, and in fact, using Level1Remove on Excel files will make them harder to access, not easier.
Outlook has no settings to block the transmission of *any* files. If you're getting a 552 error, that could be coming from your mail server, not Outlook. I would also make sure I rebooted after removing the anti-virus application. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "DL" address@invalid wrote in message ...
