Default Placing a Link in an OE (mail tool)

I think a friend uses OE as a mail program. I use Mozilla. If I put
google.com in the body of an e-mail. It appears in most places (I think) I
sent the message to as an underlined link. When my friend sends me the same
format, it shows no under line and it's not possible for me to click it to
perform a link.

Can OE do this, or is there some preference he needs to use. HTML? I'm not
familiar with OE.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information he

After furious head scratching, W. Watson asked:

This is as close to what I thought of where OE might be a topic. I'm looking
at the NG hits for a match against outlookexpress, and see about 20 names.
Many are foreign language, others have to do with IE, win98, etc. Nothing
obvioous. I'm a Mozilla user, and am not familiar with many MS products.
Using XP Pro and MS Office 2003. I'll look at the URL below.
