I found a solution: If you exclude the Hotmail account from the rule,
it works for the POP account. If this is a "feature" or a "bug", I
don't know!!!!

I'm afraid I can't explain it. Hopefully someone else will.

Well, I thought that the Hotmail account may have an influence, but you said
you wanted to run the rule only on the POP account, so I figured that's the
way you defined it. You can't run rules on Hotmail accounts with which you
do not use the Outlook Connector. I knew that going in and I was going to
state it. Sorry it took so long to get to this point.

Brian, what is the "Outlook Connector", and where to get it?

The Outlook Connector is an add-in that you can download when you sign up
for Hotmail Premium and pay fee for that service. There are multiple
articles on the Outlook Connector in the MS Knowledgebase.
