Default Outlook changing PDF extention to PDF=

I have a client that uses Outlook 2000 for e-mail. About a week ago,
she started complaining that everyone that she sent PDFs (Ex.
Document.pdf) that they were receiving PDF= (Ex. Docuement.pdf=). This
is only happening with PDF files, not word documents or anything else.
I have tried to change the outgoing mail server, but that made no
difference. Is there something in Outlook that can be causing this?

is she using RTF formatted messages? Antivirus or antispam scanners on
outgoing email?
