Default password protecting Outlook 2003?

I have Outlook 2003 that I would like to password protect. (I'm running
Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 server and cache my exchange data to my
local computer)

Does Outlook 2003 support password protection or is there a third party
product that will password protect the entire Outlook email's?

Thanks

Why not set a password on the screen saver and engage that before leaving
your desk or press Windowskey-L to lock the desktop so no one can get on
your PC while you are gone? Additionally, when you start Outlook, Exchange
should prompt you for a password.

I use Outlook2003 on Windows XP SP2.

I have recently been password protecting the Outlook.pst file for
security purposes.

Here is how I did it:
Click the following sequence:

Start--Control Panel--Mail--Show Profiles--(select profile - I have
2) --Properties--Data Files--Select data file used and click on
Settings--Change Password

After setting the password, I am always prompted for a password
everytime I startup Outlook. Works good for me.

You seem to have missed the fact that the OP is using Outlook in Cached
Exchange Mode. People using Outlook with Exchange often don't have a PST
and your advice simply doesn't apply. When using Cached Exchange mode, even
if you decide not to connect to the Exchange server, the most recently
synchronized image of your mailbox is available, resident in the OST on the
local hard drive. The OST does not appear in the "Data Files" portion of
the Control Panel, and hence, can't be password-protected.
