Invisible Appointments
Dear All
I had a problem with a user who could not see any appointments in the daily/weekly/monthly view of his Outlook 2000 calendar. However, they were visible in the Category View and all reminders worked fine. Google Groups was the only place that was discussing the problem, but few of the threads ended in a solution and none that did worked for us. However, in looking for Outlook switches I came across /cleanpst. This starts Outlook with an empty pst file which it calls Outlook0.pst. I did this and the calendar views started working properly again. It was then just a case of opening the original pst file and copying across all the entries, appointments, tasks, email etc. The problem was clearly a corrupted outlook.pst file. Hope this helps Keith |

Hi Keith,
The MS-tool "scanpst.exe", which comes free with Outlook, fixed Outlook.pst corruptions well for me. Find it using File Search (it's somewhere in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\10......) All he had to do was reset the views in his existing PST by starting Outlook once with the /cleanviews command line switch. -- Brian Tillman |

or it was a corrupt view... /cleanviews or just resetting the current view
woulda fixed it too.
