Did you used to have one? Do you have an account configured? Have you checked
that you can view your standard and formatting toolbars? -- Kathleen Orland Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Kathleen Reuther" wrote: Why don't I have a "send icon" on my outlook toolbar to send emails out? |

Kathleen:
1. No. 2. Yes, now I do. 3. Yes, I checked the email on the tool bar. I set up an "email account" under tools and found under advanced tab the POP3 to be 110 and the SM?? to be 25. I entered those two numbers where required, closed out, shut down Outlook, restarted it and get an error message. "K. Orland" wrote: Did you used to have one? Do you have an account configured? Close Outlook. Unhide hidden files and folders. Search for outcmd.dat and
rename it (eg: outcmd.dat_old) and reopen Outlook. Let me know what happens. -- Kathleen Orland Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Kathleen Reuther" wrote: Kathleen: 1. No. 2. Yes, now I do. 3. Kathleen:
The below message is the error message I was getting (prior to the below response). Task 'POP3 - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' Kathleen _________________________ "K. Orland" wrote: Close Outlook. Unhide hidden files and folders. The usual causes for this are 1) failure to authenticate to the outgoing server and 2) integrating your antivirus scanner with mail. -- Brian Tillman |
