Don't Want Outlook Calendar to Default to Active Appointments View

I use Outlook 2003 with Exchange Server at work and I also have access
to my boss's calendar and his Inbox. Whenever I switch out of the
Calendar view such as to go to read mail, I come back to the Calendar
and it's defaulted to Active Appointments view. I want the default
view to be Day/Week/Month, but couldn't find the option to do this. I
looked under Current View and Define View, but found no option to
customize my default view. Can anyone help me?

Thank you!
