Just want to post here that I have identical problem on my system. Intially I thought it was the anti-virus or security level that blocks the Word to be started since Word, when I start it myself, requires my "ok" for 3rd party macroes. But then, even I disabled the Anti-Virus office add-on it still have the same problem. Did you recently take any thing off from the "Run" or "Runonce" from the registry? Let's compare notes to see what could be in common...  Thanks...Oooppppsss... I missed the new message that lc solved the problem with OLE32 registration... I did that yesterday too but won't help me....
