I have Outlook 2003 on my desktop computer and my laptop computer, which are
connected with a router, and are both running Windows XP. I would like the laptop computer to be able to use the Outlook data from the desktop computer when it's on the network. I went to File | Date File Management, and added the desktop computer's PST file to the Outlook.pst file that was already there. However, the desktop computer's data didn't appear in the laptop's copy of Outlook. Is there something else I need to do, or do I need to have Exchange running on my home network to get this to work? Thanks! Neil |

Only a single instance of OL can access a pst file ie only the one OL can be
open. The use of the pst over a network is not supported by OL, as it can lead to corruption "Neil" wrote in message . net... Hi DL,
with some sharing soution (3rd party tools) you can share PST files and this PST files is no network PST files, because the "server" of this software makes only a local connection. The shared connection is form the client software to the server and the server makes a local connection. It is like an Exchange Cache Mode PST file. You can share an Exchange Mailbox with several users and this PST can be synchronize with a PST file. This PST file is also no network PST file. There are sharing solutions who work with the same "idea". -- Oliver Vukovics Share Outlook without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Share your contacts, calendars or e-mails http://www.publicshareware.com "DL" address@invalid schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
