Hello...
I've been trying to figure this out for two days. Can someone please help? I'm wanting to create an email message in Word, then send it out by mail merge thru Outlook. The email looks like I want it in Word AND when I send it to myself at my sbcglobal email account. However, in gmail and hotmail, it inserts spaces in a single-spaced bulleted list and the name & address at the end. It also, seemingly randomly, makes some of the characters appear to be in a noticeably smaller font (specifically, the PO Box - just the number part of that line - and the email address and website). In gmail, it also makes the entire message appear in purple text. Is there anything I can do about this? Or is it a gmail/hotmail (etc) deal? Please reply... I don't speak much "techish", so please use English. We just want to send out a professional-looking email! Thanks so much! Loads of blessings! Lisa |

Hi Diane...
Thank you for responding. I am using HTML, though I have tried Plain Text (don't like the look at all). I tried doing a SaveAs to Web Filtered format for the message document. I also dumped Word 2003 and installed Word 2007 Beta 2. Not finding much there, either. Isn't there a way to make it appear the same to everyone? We get all kinds of professional-looking email newsletters that look great and don't have weird formatting issues. Should we be looking for another software (or online service) to do this with? Thanks again. Loads of blessings! Lisa Diane Poremsky [MVP] wrote: Are you using plain text or html format?
