I receive messages repeated
 

For example a folder named John receives mails from John but also makes a
copy to the Inbox as well as more copies to the folder John. How can I fix
this and receive only one? I keep deleting emails!

Do you have rules set up for mail from John? If so, it sounds like there's a
problem with the rule. What's in the rule? Have you tried re-creating it
from scratch, to see where the problems might be?

Also include the type of mail account(s) you use and any other pertinent
details. Be sure to put a consise summary of your question in the subject

Try adding the "stop processing more rules" action to your rules.
