Default How to keep mail from being opened

For security I reasons I would like to delete incoming mail without
having to open it first. As my Outlook express is set up now, it open
automatically before I can delete it when I click on the message.
Thanks

As noted by the title for this newsgroup, it is for Outlook, not for Outlook
EXPRESS.

If you want to delete inbound mail without opening it, why bother polling
for mail at all? Just don't check for new mails and you won't have any to
download. If your real problem is that you do not want to [pre]view an
e-mail when you select it, don't use the Preview pane. In Outlook (and
*not* Outlook EXPRESS), there is also the option for AutoPreview which will
show the first few lines of each e-mail but only as plain text. That way,
you can get an idea of what is in the e-mail without having to possible
render it should it be HTML formatted (but then you could configure
OL2002/2003 - and even Outlook EXPRESS - to read in plain text).

For e-mail: Remove "NIX" and add "#VN" to Subject.

Sorry for being OT. I'm an idiot. But thanks for the info. I do
appreciate it.
