Do I have to reconfigure any portion of Outlook after seetting upa second email account?
I've been using Outlook 2002 (came with my PDA) for several months. I
set it up for 1 of 2 email accounts with my ISP. Now I want to add the 2nd account. I've set it up just like the first account. However, it is not clear exactly what I have to do to receive emails to that account. Specifically, my 1st account is shown as the default. Do I have to change that default each time I want to send/receive with the 2nd account? Do I have to set up another set of Personal Folders? I'm not sure about how to do this. I couldn't find any help; however, if someone could refer me to sources for answering these questions, I'd be grateful. TIA |

No, you can choose in an email which account to send via. Normally it will
use the default unless you tell it (Outlook) otherwise. You use one set of Personal Folders for all POP3 mail accounts "normc" wrote in message et... Thanks, Vince. I've got it working now. Is there any kind of keyboard
shortcut or availble icon for a toolbar, to change from one account to another? Also, is there any way to set up so you know which account you are in? Thanks again. You choose it at send time not before then. It's not like you're working
with one then have to switch something to work with the other. Look for a dropdown in new mail items to choose the account that will be used for that item. "normc" wrote in message t... Thanks a mint. I never saw that ACCOUMT button before now. Was it
always there, or did it just show up after I added the second account? Vince Averello [MVP-Outlook] wrote: You choose it at send time not before then. So now I see how to 'send' using one account or another (NEW | ACCOUNTS).
I still haven't been able to figure out how to quickly change the account I want to 'receive' from. The only way I can figure out is TOOLS | E-MAIL ACCOUNTS and change the default account. I've been trying to figure out, unsuccessfully, if the default for receiving toggles, i.e. if I click SSEND-RECEIVE twice, will it look at both accounts. Also, is there any way to set Outlook up so that it checks email accounts every n minutes and automatically 'receives'? I haven't been able to find such a setting. You should or could receive from both all the time. There is no default for
receiving. Outlook should poll all accounts normally unless you've told it not to.
