Click on mailto in outlook2003 open a lot of i.e windows
 
hi,

i'm using outlook 2003 and when i click one on the mailto link (in a
mail i recieved), IE open more than 20 windows instead opening oulook
new message.

In IE, try this: click ToolsInternet OptionsProgramsReset Web Settings.
Let us know if it changes anything.

In IE, try this: click ToolsInternet OptionsProgramsReset Web

hi,
thank you, but it didn't change anything.

i found "my websearch central smiley" application on this computer. I
remove it , and the problem disappear.

My two clients have same problem. It's seem that they are missing one reg key
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto]
"URL Protocol"=""

Insert it and Re-associate your mail program in IE(Internet Option ,
Program tab, email).
