Reminders stopped working in Outlook 2003--Is there a way to reset?

My reminders have stopped working. I get a message that says "There was

a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders may not

appear. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment."

Since I do not know what appointment they mean, I cannot fix it.

Is there any general reset of Outlook that might fix this problem?

Thanks,

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch.

Reminders stopped working in Outlook 2003--Is there a way to reset?

Using cleanreminders works, but it does not completely cure the
problem. First, the same error message as I described before appears.
Then, when I click it off, the reminders window comes up OK. When I
start Outlook without the cleanreminders switch, I get the error
message and never get the reminders window.

Does this mean that I will have to open Outlook using the
cleanreminders switch indefinitely? Is there a way to cure the problem
permanently?

Thanks,

You should have to use it only once. Are you using a POP account or an
Exchange account? If the former, were I in your shoes, I'd create a new
PST, make it the delivery location (bottom left of ToolsE-mail
AccountsNext), stop and restart Outlook, then copy all non-default folders
to the new PST with right-clickdrag-and-dropCopy, and all default folders
by opening each, selecting all the entries, and using
right-clickdrag-and-dropCopy. For the Calendar folder, the view must be a
list view like By Category before you can select everything. Finally, I'd
close the old PST with right-clickClose, then stop and restart Outlook.

/resetfolders might help, that resets the linkages to the hidden Reminders
folder, among other things. Also, sometimes using /cleanfreebusy in
conjunction with /cleanreminders also provides some extra cleanup.
