Hello!
I got a probem with my Outlook 2003: When I press the button "New Mail" then push "To:" the address book with my contacts open. There is a drop down button on the upper right which should show the list of address books and contact folders. As soon I push this button, the drop down list doesn't open, Outlook reports a "serious error" and crashes - it can only be terminated by the task manager. First I tried to delete to Outlook Address Book in "Control Panel - Mail" because I thought this was corrupt. Deleted it and created a new one. This didn't help. Then I performed a repair install of Office - with no success. The error also occurs in SAFE mode of Outlook. If I leave that drop down button alone everything works fine - otherwise it crashes. Any ideas what I could do? Thanks in advance! Bye Oliver |

This is a very common problem which Microsoft claims they cannot reproduce
and therefore cannot solve. Anecdotal reports claim the following may help: 1. Look for and correct a corrupt address in the Contacts displayed in the Outlook Address Book (especially if the crash at the same place when scrolling). 2. Remove then re-add the Outlook Address Book Service or, better yet, create a new Outlook profile. 3. Update your video drivers. Most people seem to find no solution. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Oliver Breitfelder" wrote in message ... Hello!
