Default Duplicates & Blanks

Have you unchecked the option to have your AV check incoming/outgoing mail?

It is a useless feature since incoming mail is checked by your real-time on
access scanner when opened and if you are relying on outgoing scanning to
catch infected mails, you are about 2 steps too late. You are already
infected so anything going out will carry what you already have active on
your entire OS, not just mail.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, spondee asked:

| Win xp home w/sp2, office 2003 pro (all updates downloaded), Zone
| Alarm Free, AVG anti virus/
|
| Almost every email I get comes in duplicates!
|
| Now I KNOW I'm doing something wrong, because this is a clean install
| on a new computer.
|
| Was using EXACT same configuration on old machine and got no
| duplicates (except from one server).
|
| Obviously in 'set up process' I checked something wrong, yet haven't
| been able to find it!
|
| I need to fix this immediately, and NO, do not want to PAY for a third
| party (unknown) add in to do it. Which is what you get referred too
| when you search help...
|
| Doesn't Microsoft office have a 'fix' for this???
