Default Shared mailbox read/unread mail

We have a manager and secretary sharing the manager's mailbox. I wanted to be able to configure the secretary's Outlook such that if she reads the manager's emails, they remain as unread.

The manager wants to be able to see them as unread because he hasn't read them yet.

I have been searching for a solution for some time now and it looks to me that it's not possible.

Does anyone know if I can and how I can achieve this?

Thank you.

Terry

That is only possible for Public Folders.
you can opt an workaround like assigning a
color category when you have read it. In those cases you can also easily see
when you can delete "informational" messages

Hi,

You can go for a manual approach, once she is done reading the mails she can select them and then mark them as "unread" by right clicking on them and selecting this option.
