Sync Two Outlooks

I have Outlook on a desktop and Outlook on a laptop. They both have my same email address as the default account. I don't understand why all the email to that account goes only to the desktop. How do I get a copy to my laptop?

Sorry for stating the obvious....but do you have internet connectivity for the laptop?????
