I have a problem with something in a signature file.

The question is - is it possible to place something into the signature file to cause it not to deliver sent messages??????????
If that is true than it must also be possible to place it in the body of the email, right??? Granted, the sig file makes it a permanent bug.

If so, how do I create a clean signature file???????????

I think a virus may have infected the signature file (or what generates/edits it) causing mail to be "sent" as far as Outlook is concerned, but it never gets to the recipient. Reinserting the correct AC make it non-functional again. Also, if the sig file is used on "reply to" email, they get bounced for a bad address.

It appears to key on specific data in the file. If an area code is changed or deleted the email arrives at its destination. With the current (correct) AC the mail in never rcvd. I actually found 2 ACs that cause the problem. Other numbers for AC allow mail to go thru.

I am currently sending email with the sig file but without the ACs on the phone numbers.

I created a new sig file with the same results, so it looks like the generator is infected. This is just toooooooooo weird!!

thx
