Outlook 2007 transaction log failure?

Hi guys and gals

I have an issue with Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 PC. All of the user
profile are affect on this PC. The issue seems to be something to do with
transaction logs not being committed and flushed properly when outlook
closes. If I close after receiving, deleting and moving mail to other
folders and then re-open (even after shutting down and restarting), the
emails that were read, moved, deleted etc are all back in the inbox marked
as unread.

The only error message that occurs on occasion is a notification that
Outlook did not shut down properly and the PST file is being checked.

Please help.
