Default Spell Check Error

I've been looking around since you posted this reply. I guess MS took the KB
article away since it didn't seem to be an issue anymore.

What spell check are you using? The one from MS Word?

Is Picture It on your machine and do you use it?

If you are using the Word spell check, download and install this freeware
spell check. I use it and it may solve the issue.

As for using the clunky Web interface for posting, there will always be
issues. Why not use OE instead?

Then,
another pop-up appears with the same title and the following message,

Default Spell Check Error

Bruce:
I'm using the spell check tool that appears when you create a new email in
Outlook Express 6. Yes, I do have MS Picture It 7 on my computer and used it
yesterday to edit some photos; come to think of it, the pop-up window I
described in OE has only started since I used Picture It yesterday.

Give this a whirl: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/spellcheck.htm

Tip: You may only (or also) need to place a copy of CSAPI3T1.DLL in
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express =this folder.

But Outlook Express never had a spell check of its own. Is Word installed?
If it is, you are using that spell check. Try the one I suggested. You can
always remove it.
