Menu Items Missing
When using someone else's computer, in OE6, some items are missing from the
Menu ... View, Tools, Message, Help. Is there some setting missing or has the programme become corrupt? Any advice appreciated but I will not be able to report back straight away. TIA B.W. |

If you see many options missing, I would try a new identity.
You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. If you READ the original post the OP is talking about when he uses someone else's computer and the last thing I would recommend to anyone is to go start changing or messing with someone elses system. I know what the hell I would do if someone start changing my system!! I would put my foot up his behind!!! Or did you not read the original post that it was someone else's system?!?! Maybe it is set up the way the owner wants it or maybe not. But still if someone does not like the way MY system is set up they DO NOT change it to the way THEY want it because IT IS MY SYSTEM not theirs. Wake up!!! Did it ever occur to you that the OP may be trying to help this person? You
can't "set up" OE to be missing the menu options in question. Go back to sleep!!! -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "kraut" wrote in message ... Bruce
You used to be able to get branded versions of Outlook Express which could cause confusion. AOL was a common distributor. I haven't seen one of these for sometime. -- Regards.
