You'll see that you can Copy and Paste the Subject Line with the mouse --
but not the Newsgroup Line.

Aloha,

In what?
I can in this program. You're posting this in two newsgroups about
different, although related, programs, so I thought I'd post with the one
that came between them.

Right in this newsgroup message...

Open the message.

Then Copy and Paste the Subject Line with the mouse = Joy.

Try to Copy and Paste the Newsgroup Line with the mouse = No Joy.

I'm trying to find out why.

Does it have something to do with preventing bots from harvesting
addresses? -- because email addresses also cannot be copied and pasted with
the mouse.

OR perhaps I need to tweak some obscure setting in WLM?

I just clicked on "Reply Group". From the message compose window I have the
following header fields, which I can copy from:

Newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress,microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
Reply to:

New Message

Are you trying to copy from the basic reader, from the address bar between
the message list, and the message view pane? That doesn't even work in MS
Outlook Express.
