Every post I make to newsgroups is being maliciously tracked by a certain
individual. I then receive pornographic email at home. Is there a way to
conceal one's identity completely (headers) when posting to a newsgroup
using Outlook Express 6.0?

Yes, set up your newsgroup account with a fictitious name and email address.
If you want a truly throw-away address, that you can still check, if need
be, look at www.mailinator.com

Look at my e-mail address in this post. Think I'll ever get e-mail
there? Munge your e-mail address. Use a domain that isn't registered
(so it doesn't exist now and won't exist later). Use .invalid as the
TLD (inplace of .com or .net).

You are probably getting spam more due to YOU exposing your true e-mail
address in your posts where spambots roam the newsgroups to harvest
them.

No...

That's a...

COWARDLY way to act.

Use your REAL NAME...

DON'T HIDE behind a PSEUDONYM such as:

"Ildhund"

But use a throwaway or fictitious email address in order to protect yourself
from SPAM, VIRUSES, DEATH THREATS, WORMS, IDENTITY THIEVES, CHILD MOLESTERS,
et alii. I know from experience.

I don't trust ANYONE who won't use HIS or HER Real Name.

WOMEN may prefer to use only the FIRST name...

That's not desirable or preferable -- but entirely acceptable...

As there are malicious, molester loons out there.

Thank you all for the responses!

I already use a fake email address and fake name when I post to a newsgroup.
It seems that this individual has somehow written a program to scan the
headers of all posts to newsgroups and is able to find my posts. It doesn't
matter if my post is a primary post in a thread or is deep in a thread. OE
6.0 makes bold all new posts when I go to read newsgroups so perhaps this
individual is only scanning for new posts. Anyway, even if I change my fake
email address and fake name, he is able to find my posts.

Twaddle...

Not the same thing at all as hiding behind a pseudonym on the Internet.

Ever read any of Samuel Clemens' works? You probably will
have better luck find his works listed under the author, "Mark Twain".

I post under a number of pseudonyms for a number of reasons (admittedly
some not so upstanding).

Errant Twaddle...

Another little PFK who doesn't want the college admissions officers and
employers to be able to trace him on the Internet.

People who hide behind pseudonyms on the Internet get ZERO respect.

So ......

You say you would search on certain lines in a header ....
Are lines 4 to end unique to me and identify me in all my posts?

I noticed something else this evening .................
I watched as Norton Antivirus scanned my HD tonight. VAV identified whay it
called a "Tracking Cookie". Could this possibly be something this
"character" is using to track my posts to newsgroups?

MS Outlook Express has little to do with what shows up in some header
lines.
While you can control the name and email address, you can't control the IP
address. The server you connect to sees your IP address, and either adds
it,
or not, depending upon how it is configured. That is up to the NNTP server
administrator.

Consider your posting headers:

| NNTP-Posting-Date: Thu, 03 Jul 2008 16:47:25 -0500
| From: Rob
| X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3138
| X-RFC2646: Format=Flowed; Original
| X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.3198
| Message-ID:
| X-Usenet-Provider: http://www.giganews.com
| NNTP-Posting-Host: 64.181.89.216

Those are some of the lines I would use to search on. You have control
over
line 2. MSOE controls line 3. Your NNTP provider controls the rest.
