OE6 sending duplicate emails ??
 

A friend who runs XP and uses OE6 has alot of problems with his
computer sending duplicate emails ? Its a spasmodic problem . The
reply he sent me was duplicated ?

Never had that problem with OE6 & my computer . Any ideas on how to
fix this please ?

Is he virus scanning incoming and out-going email?
Turn off the email scan.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.

He has switched off Trend micro and maybe that's fixed his problem
I've had 2 single emails from him this morning
Maybe there is another program conflicting in his computer as I also
run Trend Micro with OE6 and XP and never had this duplicate mail
problem
