If you are going to attach files, you can compress (zip) them before
attaching. The recipient will have to unzip the attachment. See the Compression and Message Size Limits section of Decoding Internet Attachments - A Tutorial http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_san...tm#compression Note that some common types of files already have internal compression and so will not compress any further. The overall message cannot be compressed since Internet standards do not allow for that. However, you could compose the message text in a word processor, zip that and attach it to the message.
