Message Rules Causing Problems

I have basically been trying to set up a number of rules that automatically
forward a copy of an email to (a) certain address(es) depending on whether it
has got a certain phrase in the subject line, the To line and within the
mesage body.

it works well for about 20 of these rules , but then the rules just seem to
stop working. i enter a new rule and all the wording is ghosted over and i
can't modify it or delete it. i have to delete the rule before it and then i
can access the one that was ghosted over!

Then if I enter another rule, the same thing happens - it's like it has
reached a maximum

any suggestions?

thanks!

I have more than 30.

Sounds like the registry got corrupted. You might try removing them one by
one in reverse order of adding them and see if one of them generated a
problem and removing it fixes it. Try closing and reopening OE also.

If not, then you may have to set up a new Identity via File | Identities and
start over with the rules. Unless you have a previous backup.
