can't send or recieve mail any more
 

For years I would click outlook express. It would launch, retrieve my mail
(from road runner account). I could write mail, click send and it was gone.
For the last 2 days when I open outlook express I get an error message.
no, socket error 10061 error #0x800CCCOE
Cannot send or retrieve any e-mails.
The news server works fine and I can send and receive mail directly from the
road runner site.
Have checked my anti virus, AVG, and Zone alarm settings and both are the
same they have always been. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi Calhoun,

The use of anti-virus message scan or spam filtering can cause connection
problems at any time. This is the most likely cause of the issue. Normal
anti-virus scan without the use of e-mail message scan will still protect a
PC.
