Huh ? Usually by default all messages that you send goes to the Sent folder. I really do not understand your issue.

Also why not set up a folder that you can move the messages that you send after being sent from the Sent folder.

Peter,
I have never heard of "a folder that can move the messages".
Also, the way the sentence seems to read 'the message are sent from the Sent
folder'.

Sandy,
To not have a copy saved to Sent items:
Tools, Options, Send tab, uncheck Save copy ............

You could create a message rule:
where the email is from
move to a 'sent' folder, mark as read, and stop processing more rules.

Tools | Options | Send
Uncheck the top option, the one to save a copy in the Sent Items folder.
