Default what the? BEAR and the other pros...are you there??

Did Outlook Express or Hotmail do something differently with their free
accounts recently?

SUDDENLY ALL MY "SENT MAIL" OVER 30 DAYS OLD HAS BEEN DELETED FROM THE
OUTLOOK EXPRESS "SENT" FOLDER!!

They are not on Hotmail any more either.

We're talking about a thousand letters with all kinds of info on them that I
was saving!!!

Is this just my situation? My "paid" ($20/yr) account has not been touched
but a lot of my inbox letters no longer are in order or have dates attached
to them.

I've lost hundreds of hours of writing time with important info. Is there
anything I can do????

The free accounts have always cleaned out the sent folder eventually. It's
supposed to be every 30 days but sometimes they go longer than that.

If you go to your Sent Items folder at www.hotmail.com, you'll see:

QP
Messages more than 30 days old will be automatically deleted from this
folder.
/QP

AFAIK it's always been that way.

Just like OE's local Sent Items folder, it's best not to archive messages
here but move them to other, user-created folders for archiving. (If you
want to add a Hotmail folder, create it at www.hotmail.com, not in OE!)
