Default look at messages on external HDD

Hi,
I have an bootable external HDD that I used, and OE is installed on it.
Is there a way to look at old messages on that HDD (old) from a computer
(new) that has also OE installed? I do not want to import these messages on
to my new computer, but once in a while I need to get back to old emails.
Thanks,
AJS

No, but you can extract the messages from one of these:
DBXtract ($7): http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx
There is also a free alternative to DBXtract, though not for DBXpress:
http://www.insideoe.com/resources/tools.htm#macallan
DBXpress: ($25) http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx

If you have OE on a bootable HDD, then IE and the complete operating system
must be on it. If it is, then you can read the messages from there. I don't
suspect that is the case though.

Why do you not want these messages on your new computer? You could easily
create another identity and import them there. That would leave your current
OE identity free of these messages.

Just a thought to get this going.
