Opening a message in a new window...

Is there a way to click once on a message once to have it open in a new
window instead of twice. Someone told me this is possible.

Opening a message in a new window...

Control Panel | Tools | Folder Options. In the General tab, you have the
option to select Single Click, or Double Click. Note that this will affect
more than just opening messages.

That doesn't do it here. Never did.
What will do it for me is if the mouse pointer is moving when I click once
it opens a window for the mail. This is never something I want, though.

I thought it would work, but I don't like single clicking anything, so I
didn't actually try it.

Not in OE. Singleclicking is how a message is selected.
You can press Enter (or Ctrl-o) though as alternatives to doubleclicking.
