Default LSASS.exe problems

I just upgraded my Windows XP Home Edition to SP2 using the CD installation
disc sent to me by Microsoft. Now when starting Windows I am getting an
LSASS.EXE System Error message that states "Object Name Not Found". If I
close the error window prior to logging on, Windows does not remember my
account password. If I do not close the error window and leave it up XP
doesn't have any problem with my account password and I can get into
Windows.

Also, once logged onto Windows XP if I try to use Outlook Express I get the
same Lsass.exe error message, OE doesn't come up and my hard drive light
stays constantly on. CPU usage is maxed out, the Task Manager cannot be
brought up, and the system then reboots.

What's going on & how do I correct it?

Default LSASS.exe problems

This is really a question for the XP newsgroup, but I did find this KB
article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883268

If that doesn't help, try asking in the XP newsgroup.
