Rules
"BBran" wrote in message ... For some reason no matter what rules I create, news or e-mail, they are nto saved. Any ideas what the problem is? You could have a corrupt OE identity? It could though be just the Rules Registry key causing the problem? Close OE. Go to StartRunand type regeditoknavigate to this key and delete it, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{guid}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rulesreboot may be needed? If you have more than one identity set up, check for the one concerned by going to toolsoptionsmaintenancestore folder, the {guid} is at the end. Reopen OE, a new "clean" (all rules will be lost), registry entry will be created!! Now try to create a new rule. You edit the registry at your own risk, if not sure, then get someone competent to do it for you. -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS] http://www.getsafeonline.org/ |
