sudden spell check problem

When I try to use spell check this message pops up:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removable disk
that is not available.
Insert the Microsoft Digatal Suite Anniversary Edition and click OK."

After getting rid of the message, another one pops up stating the inability
to complete the spell check.

I had downloaded the Digital Suite months ago. No problem until now. I have
the same setup on another laptop and spell check works fine. Both systems
are XP Media Center 2002

Any ideas?

Did you by any chance run some sort of Registry Cleaner Utility between the
time that all was working and now?

Not that I know of, unless my wife ran something, which is very unlikely.

Was the digital suite a trial version?

Your problem sounds like a variation on this:
Clicking Send or Running Spell Check in OE Runs Installer for Picture It
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294731

Outlook Express program does not come with a spell checker. It will use
the spell checker from any of several Microsoft 32-bit programs. For
Word/Office, that would be versions 95 through 2003. Version 2007 is
not compatible with OE. For Works, that would be versions 4 through 6.
If using Works 4.0, a registry change is required. The Works 7+ spell
checker is not compatible with Outlook Express. There are also some
freeware/shareware spell checkers that may work (see the URL in my
signature).

Thanks for the help. For those with a similar problem, remove and reinstall
the program interfering with spell check. It just worked for me.
