Default error message

I use a bundled version IE and OE with this
600.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2rtm.o4o803-2158)
in the "about" section.

For quite some time now I have received an error message nearly every time I
check for mail. As far as I can tell I am still getting all the mail.
However, each time there is a red X next to the task of checking a hotmail
account. Yet, there is a green check next to the task of "picking up" the
mail, and it does pick it up.

Help and suggestions will be appreciated.

That is an interesting aspect of the problem. There is no number, or words,
stating "which error" it is. There is the green checks and the red X, as I
stated before.

If this is you Hotmail account this is a common occurrence and is caused by
the Hotmail server. You should be able to update the other Hotmail folders
by clicking each one, but there really isn't anything you can do about the
first message. It should go away after a while.
