Default copy of show all messages - 4 times?

Hi all,

Hoping you can enlighten me. In the OE views dropdown menu, there are 4
options reading "Copy of Show All Messages."
I wonder why this is, and how I can get rid of the extra options. (It's not
causing any problems, it just annoys me...)

Here's a screenshot: http://freshacid.com/custom/copyshowall.gif

Thanks so much!

all best,
Denise

p.s. Incidentally, why would I ever use the option "copy of show all
messages" instead of "show all messages?" What's the difference? I couldn't
find an explanation in the OE help file.

Sounds like someone has clicked on View/Current View and either Customize or
Define View which creates a copy of the View that was set at the time. If
you are the only user, you may not remember doing this. If you have a few
other users, they may have done this while "exploring" the options on the
menu. You can delete them if desired. Just click on the particular View
and in the popup, select Remove.

I have the same thing, Jim. 4 Copy of Show All Messages. They show in the
dropdown box, or if I select using OETool. Don't see any way to remove or
delete any of them.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your reply.

Pretty sure I havne't modified any views (I don't know how to do that), and
I'm the only user on this computer.

I don't see any pop-up, or a remove link, just the drop-down list. When I
highlight one of those 4 "Copy of Show All Messages" and try to delete it,
it doesn't delete.

best,
Denise

I can click on View/Current View and then take the ones I want to remove and
highlight/delete them. But I'm using a Vista machine right now but it seems
the same behaviour applies to XP (unless my memory is going totally south on
me, which is always a possibility).
