if only you had a dollar for everytime ...
hello benevolent ones
ok so my system crashed and after five installs and new activation codes and numerous different coloured pills I think I am back up again! now having had my DBX files backed up by a "OE backup utility" I restored the files, only to have the SENT folder appear in OE6 the rest of the folders are all there in the same folder and there is only one identity (assuming I am still sane!) I cant import the rest of my folders in! any ideas why and how to do that? I am thinking of using office outlook since my sent folders are getting quiet big.. so I want to really bring the DBX folders into outlook if I can. am I jumping into a bigger hole by choosing outlook over OE6? should I be using a different email program all together? your generosity will be rewarded with a smile... :) |

See here for message recovery techniques: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4
You should be able to copy the entire backup into a directory on the hard drive. Then clear the read only attribute of all the files. Then use File | Import | Messages to import from that directory. If some folders will not import, then try manually importing them using the method in the last paragraph on this page: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx steve "Agemo" wrote in message ... hello benevolent ones ok so my system crashed and after five installs and new activation codes and numerous different coloured pills I think I am back up again! now having had my DBX files backed up by a "OE backup utility" I restored the files, only to have the SENT folder appear in OE6 the rest of the folders are all there in the same folder and there is only one identity (assuming I am still sane!)
