Default Configuring smtp and pop in Outlook Express

Is there a way to configure smtp and pop email settings in Outlook Express 6
using either Hotmail or Yahoo setting? Please bear with me as I'm not really
sure if this is the correct way to phrase this question. I would like to use
Outlook Express (or Outlook) as my email program but prefer OE because of
their newsgroups. I had Road Runner cable in the past but now I'm at a loss
how to configure OE without those Road Runner's smtp and pop settings. I
have AOL also but rarely use it. Thank you.

If you want to use Outlook Express to access your Hotmail account, you must
have an MSN subscription. For more information, visit the following
Microsoft Web site:
http://upgrade.msn.com

Hotmail Plus Information:
http://join.msn.com/?page=hotmail/es...D=1983&DI=1402

See this about reading Hotmail in OE:
http://email.about.com/od/outlookexp...s/wt041202.htm

I don't have the information for Yahoo.

To use MS Outlook Express with an MSN Hotmail account you will have to
pay MSN $19.95 per year for a "Hotmail Plus" account:

http://join.msn.com/hotmailplus/overview-std

To use MS Outlook Express with a Yahoo! Mail account you will have to
pay Yahoo! $19.99 per year for a "Yahoo! Mail Plus" account:
