Hi Joan,
I have not experienced your described problem. One thing you might look at is to confirm your email is being sent in Rich Text (HTML) format. Just before you choose to send, click Format on the menu bar, on it's menu confirm there is a dot next to Rich Text (HTML) and there is a check mark in front of Send Pictures with Message. Hopefully someone else knows how to resolve this issue, like I said I have not experienced it. Hi Joan,
There is another thing you could try is send the original email as an attachment. This way your receiver can open the original mail and view it just like you did. After you open the original email, choose Messages on the Tool bar, on it's menu choose Forward As Attachment. In the body of your message tell your receiver or receivers you have attached a email, Send it. Now when the receiver opens the attached email and they do not see the same email message as you did, the problem is in their settings. Did the recipient tell you about the two attachments or are you seeing
that in your sent items folder? You will see that issue in Outlook Express if Tools, Options, Read, Read All Messages in plain text is selected. The HTML version of the message appears as an HTML attachment (IE icon) and any embedded images appear as separate attachments. This is a display only setting and does not affect the actual message. If just the recipient is seeing the problem, they need to change the setting on their end. If you are seeing the issue in your Sent Items folder, you need to change the setting. Or for a quick workaround for the current message, press ALT+Shift+H -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "mstors via WindowsKB.com" u23877@uwe wrote in message news:630ba29c3a2bc@uwe... Michael,
You were right. The recipient needed to change to HTML in the Read all messages. Thank you so much. How do you guys know so much? Should I be spending more time reading tutorials? Thanks to Ken also. We learn from our own mistakes and the mistakes of others.
You aren't the first person to run into that issue and you won't be the last. As for that particular problem, I don't think you'll find anything in the OE help files on it. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "mstors via WindowsKB.com" u23877@uwe wrote in message news:632573ef54f7d@uwe...
