Bug: Printing multi-selection of messages does not work
WinXP Professional SP2 OE6 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm_040803-2158) Printing multi-selection of messages causes only first message printed. Any estimate of release of a fix? Best regards, Miika |
Printing multi-selection of messages does not work
It's always worked that way. You can qeue them up in the spooler, but you
can only print one at a time. A workaround if you don't need the header info is to select a group of message, selecting Message/Combine and Decode and then printing that message, but you probably won't like the result. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. I need this feature regularly. Is there any reason why this behaviour couldn't be changed to work properly in near future? I can list quite a number of other multi-selection non-functionalities in Windows XP SP2 related to opening and printing files. Miika |

Don't expect any changes to Outlook Express.

Cheers, Miika The development team is working virtually exclusively on Windows Mail, the replacement for OE in Vista. They did just issue a fix for some problems on WinXP SP2: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang-EN All you can hope for on OE is bug fixes. Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM |

As a workaround, try saving them outside of OE as eml files (just drag them
to a directory) and then see if you can print them multiply from Windows Explorer. steve "Miika Asunta" wrote in message ... Nice idea, but this doesn't work either -- Windows Explorer hides print-command from menus for *.eml files. Very often "direct" printing of files does not work from Windows Explorer -- this functionality depends on application. Very often opening multiple files at same time from Windows Explorer only opens one file -- again, this depends on the application, not Windows. Miika |
