Default How do I get Outlook Express back as MAPI client?

My browser is unable to "Send page by email". It required me to "Choose
profile". The only option was "Outlook" which had been installed
although I didn't use it, I only use Outlook Express. When accepting
this option an error appeared, reporting that the MAPI spooler could
not be started (MAPI 1.0 [000004C7]). Then I uninstalled Outlook and
now "Send by email is disabled completely (grey).

How do I get Outlook Express back as MAPI client?

(Windows XP SP2, IE6.0 SP2, OE6.0 SP2)

(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=178077 doesn't help, OE doesn't
appear as an option.)

See if this helps.

Make OE the default e-mail client:
http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx

For links in e-mail:
http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx

And:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

Note that if you download an update for Office/Outlook, Outlook may be
switched to be the default e-mail client.

Thanks, kbid=306098 provided the solution. In the registry the string
value DLLPath was missing. Now the MAPI client works again.
