Default send only

I want to set up OE to send only.
Is there a way to configure OE to do this, without getting error messages
for the receiving end?
I want to keep incoming mail at the server (comcast) so that I can access
previous e-mail from other computers.

Thanks,

There is a way to 'Receive' and yet keep the received mail on the
original server.

Edit your mail account 'properties'. On the 'Advanced Tab' under
'Delivery'; Check "Leave Copy of message on Server". This will also
provide you with two additional options which you can choose to use
or not.

Hope this answers your question.

In addition to Jim's suggestion, which may be what you really want, you
can do the following:

Tools, Options, Send, Send Immediately
Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, General, uncheck the Including this
account when checking mail

And just to be safe, Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Servers, put in
some bogus value for the POP3 server.

With those settings, the only time OE will try to receive mail on that
account is if you select Tools, Send and Receive, the specific account
name. In that case you will get an error message. If you accidentally
click the Send and Receive button or use the Tools, Send and Receive,
All item, it only does accounts that are marked for the Include this
account.
