Default OE 6

I've recently reinstalled XP Media Center on my Dell XPS. Now, when in OE I can
no longer view .pps or .wmv type files, getting the 'no file association'
message.

The programs work when the files are on the HDD, but I am not going to copy
every email attachment I get to the HD just to watch some stupid commercial. I
want to watch it and delete it while in OE. I do not have the "do not allow
attachments...." box checked in OE options.

I've tried using the directions for the 07 version of Power Point but it does
not work seem to work on the 2010 version I'm using.

I've followed the instructions from MS and several other websites for creating
file associations in Folder Options (and other ways) but it continues to refuse
to work, continuously giving me the 'no file association' message.

Any suggestions?
Regards,
jc
