Default Blank e-mails in outlook express 6

I have a friend using outlook express 6 with ie8 using win xp home edition
sp2. ISP is bell sympatico high speed internet using bell sympatico security
suite for anti virus, firewall, spam, etc.

Some of the incoming e-mails will show where they came from, but the actual
message is blank.

Any suggestions?
