When Outlook Express is "sending and receiving" it keeps popping up over
everything else that I am running telling me its status for each account (I
check about 10). I would like to turn that pop up off but have not found a
means of doing so. Is there a setting in OE6 or in the registry or a
software patch that will disable that popup.

When you see this, at the bottom right is a push-pin. Click on it to hide
the dialog box.

I don't believe there's any way to do that in OE.

On the other hand, the Windows Live Mail program does the reverse and
doesn't give you the dialog (unless you click on the Synch button while
it's already synching).
